WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE????

Today I woke up and realized, Wow tomorrow will be Brookelyn-Grace's birthday! Last year today I was headed to the hospital with contractions. I can remember them admitting me into this small little room, hooking me up and monitoring Brookelyn-Grace. I had pups rash, which is a rash that covers your entire body. It's reddish and pimply, and it ITCHES! My blood pressure was 210/100??? I think.... I was monitored all day. My blood pressure never went down and I was completely swollen from head to toe! At 6 something that night my doctor, Dr. Foster came in and said Brittany you have two options; 1. We can insert a balloon into you and try to get your cervix's to soften and then hook you up on petosin to see if you can have her natural or 2. We can schedule a c-section for first thing in the morning. Of course if you know me I am very indecisive and I asked, "What do you think I should do" ha ha. He said well I'm worried about your blood pressure during natural birth. He said I think that when you started pushing you would end up in an emergency c-section. So I said okay, schedule me for a c-section.

I got admitted into the hospital and put in a huge room. My entire family came over and stayed the night with me in the room. I was so scared, but so ready to meet my beautiful little girl. I couldnt have made it through the night without my mom. Her and my sister were my rock during pregnancy! I can remember waking up that morning at 7:00 a.m getting a bath, putting on my make-up and sitting up in the bed when all my doctor's rolled in. They talked and talked to me about what could happen and what was going to happen, but of course I don't remember a word they said now because I was just so ready to meet my Brookelyn-Grace. I can remember then disconnecting everything and rolling me out of the room with Keith by my side and my mother holding my hand with tears in her eyes telling me that she loved me. I was so excited I could hardly stand it.

They told Keith that he had to wait outside while they prepped me. I went into the room and had to get on this cold, scary table. Then they started to give me my spinal block. It took them about 35 minutes to do it because they told me that I was so short that it was hard to find the certain spot in my back. He would keep asking me, "Do you feel anything" & I would say yes sharp pains in my feminine parts. He would get so tickled at me. Then he asked, "How tall are you" I said 4'11 and he said that is so weird because I worked on another girl today that was your exact same height and she said the same thing. He said, "It must be a 4'11 thing" ha ha I laughed so hard. Okay so after that was done they got Keith to come in. I was so scared and all I could keep thinking was okay, I'm about to get to meet my little girl for the first time. I was so anxious that my doctor would keep saying okay Brittany calm down and breath! Your making your blood pressure rise. So they ended up having to give me blood pressure medicine because it kept rising so much!

Then my doctor said, "Your going to feel some pressure," I didn't feel anything! I could feel my body moving on the table, but that was it! He said, "Document it 8:46" Then I BECAME THE HAPPIEST, LUCKIEST, EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD PERSON/MOTHER! I was waiting to hear Brookelyn-Grace's cry while they sucked her out, but it seemed like it took them forever, which was probably only seconds. I said OMG is she okay!?!?! & then I heard her cry! I'll never forget that sweet, innocent, beautiful cry! I am crying now! It was seriously the happiest day of my life!!!!!! There is absolutely nothing that could top that, NOTHING! I can remember them wrapping her up and putting her on my chest. I thought "WOW, SHE IS BEAUTIFUL!"

I just can't believe tomorrow is her 1ST BIRTHDAY! Where has the time gone? I don't remember her growing up this fast! I wish that I could take her back to around to 3 months when I could hold her all day long! She would just sit there and lay in my arms all day. Now of course she is a wiggle worm and on the go. She only wants to snuggle at bed time and early in the morning. Other then that she is GONE! ha ha. I love Brookelyn-Grace so much! I don't know what I did before her. I have never loved, been happy or been complete until she came into my life! She is my everything!!!!!!

The House

Well I changed my furniture again..HAHA..My living room is now..my living room ha ha and my dinning room..my dinning room..We found a way to make the furniture and room's work! I like it a whole lot more! The dinning room just didn't look right because the breakfast nook is close by and it just looked like way to much sitting. Well my Uncle Rusty is doing the touching up on the paint today and painting all four of my metal doors (exterior & interior) and painting my front door. I went with a Green Forest color because it just didn't look good in Burgundy with the rock and hardy plank on my house. They also got the rest of the coverings on last night, the door knobs and door bell. Now all that's left is organizing each room, putting together Brookelyn-Grace's bedroom furniture, hanging closet hardware and decorating and hanging pictures. I can't wait to decorate!!!!

Brookelyn-Grace's First's

This weekend was great! Brookelyn-Grace and I spent some much mommy and baby time together! We had a blast! Even though she passed out on me at 8:30 ha ha.

Saturday I meet Keith and he took her to her 2nd birthday party :) He said she had a really good time. After that Keith brought her up to the lake to me. I was up there with my dad. He also loved his new tennis shoes that I got him for Father's Day.

Well Brookelyn-Grace got to swim for her very first time yesterday while at Dads! She loved it! We stayed in his pool I know a good two hours! She is for sure a water baby! During this time I think I put 50 sunscreen on her like 30 times! ha ha I was so worried that she was going to get burnt!

After about two hours of swimming we decide to take a boat ride. This was also Brookelyn-Grace's first boat ride :). She loved it! In less than five minutes of being on the boat she was passed out! She had her new, cute, hot pink life jacket on, laying back on me eating her cheese puff's. I looked down and noticed that the cheese puff was still stuck to her mouth and she was not eating. She had passed out!!! It was so cute!!!! Here is the pic :)

We drove to my Aunt Deb's lake house and got out to swim and let Brooke and Staci ride the intertube. Brookelyn-Grace was still passed out, so I put her on the pontoon boat on a float with several towels down. It was hot so I got me some lake water and soaked the towels she was on so she never got hot one time! Great idea if I say so myself! She stayed cool the entire time she napped. When she woke up she was starving so we ate a sandwich and our favorite..cereal! ha ha and topped it off with a bottle. She can eat! We then headed back because we didn't want to drive at night, because of the night air might have gotten her sick. On the way back she looked like she had narcolepsy. ha ha She was so worn out! She had a long day! She was also so good the entire day, but she is always good! But it just seemed that she was extra good yesterday. :)

All in all we had a blast yesterday with my Daddy and the family on Father's day!!!! I am so thankful for my family & my EVERYTHING Brookelyn-Grace!

A Little Bit of My Life...

Well I started moving things into my house Wednesday! It has been such a calming experience! Usually I am the type of person that wants to move fast and get everything done in one night, but I have actually been taking my time and trying to not get in such a rush! Brookelyn-Grace's birthday is next Saturday the 27th though, so we are trying to get everything situated & organized in the house! It is beautiful! We have now converted the dinning room to my living room, and the living room to my dinning room. There was not enough room in my living room once I got my bulky leather furniture in there so we tried it in the dinning room and it is perfect! It is so family oriented feeling and cozy, which I love! So now the kitchen will be over looking the dinning room, which displays my awesome fireplace! My dinning room and kitchen look like it come straight out of a Pottery Barn book! I love it! Of course we haft to change out the light fixtures because I have a super massive chandelier in the dinning room/new living room, but it's no problem! :) Mom and I went to get blinds today, which cost me a pretty penty! We also got some touch up paints. We got all the blinds hung tonight and the base boards touched up :) I also organized some things like my jewelry box..ha ha there's a lot to organize! It took me seriously over an hour! Since tomorrow is Father's day were not going to work up there so Monday after work, starts the touch up painting, getting my dinning room suite up there, and a whole lot more of organizing! I think I should be able to stay the night up there by Tuesday or Wednesday night! Probably Wednesday night for sure! Wow, I can't believe I am almost in my house! I thought this day would never come! :) & I have had a lot of help here lately on my house! I am so thankful to have my family and other people in my life that love me enough to do the things that have been done for me! I am so thankful for them!!! I LOVE MY MEEMER!

Also Brookelyn-Grace's invitations came in and I am sending them out Monday! Her party will be next Saturday the 27th at 12:00 at the new house! :) The invites are so cute! Sha did them and they are AWESOME! I will post one on here later! It's just too cute! I could go on and on about Sha's work! She is the best! I would never use anyone else! She does the best work ever!

In recent news my life is finally starting to fall into a place that I think is well deserved! I am so thankful for the people in my life!!! :)

Thursday's 13!!!

1. Brookelyn-Grace is 11 months as of yesterday!!!! I can't believe that she will be one next month!!!

2. I am leaving for the beach tomorrow. It's just me and mom. This will officially be my first time away from Brookelyn-Grace. I am staying 3 nights & I know I am going to cry!!! Thanks MOM! Your the best!

3. My sister Brooke graduates tonight from Curry! I am so proud of her! Wow! Where has time gone? It was just yesterday that she would follow me around begging to come in my room. Ha ha

4. I hope that this beach trip helps clear my head and gives me a better look on life and everything that I want for it!

5. I am FINALLY closing on my house next week! Can you believe it? I cant!

6. I can't wait to decorate my house! :)

7. I can't wait to start planning Brookelyn-Grace's 1st birthday party! I am just so glad that we will be in the house for her party!

8. I am going to enjoy my beach trip, but be so miserable missing my loves!

9. I am so random today!

10. I've got to go pay my power bill, car payment and maybe run to the mall after work...ugh!

11. I have nothing to wear to Brooke's graduation tonight!

12. I'm so buying me some cute t-shirts at the beach! :)

Thursday's 13

1. Today was sister's (Brooke) last day of high school!

2. She graduates the 28th! I can't believe it! I'm going to cry my eyes out!

3. I have one more class at Athen's that starts next week and I will be done!!!!!!!

4. I start student teaching in the Fall.

5. Then I will graduate in December with a Bachelors degree in Secondary Education, a Bachelors degree in English Language Arts & a Master's degree in English!!! I'll graduate with 2 degrees and one Master's!

6. Yes I am bad!!! hahaha

7. I love Brookelyn-Grace so much!

8. She will be 11 months the 27th :)

9. I can't believe that she will be one year old June 27th!

10. I really love my job! I'm kinda sad that I want be working here in the Fall.

11. I have had so much on me here lately that is ridiculous!

12. Dad said another two weeks and I could move in my house...He keeps changing the deadline...I'm so ready to move in!

13. Learning new things is hard!!!!!

It's Been A While! UPDATES...

I have been so busy! I am finally done with my may mester classes so I can now blog! There is so much to say. Well here goes! Brookelyn-Grace is everywhere and into everything! She is almost eleven months now and weighs 23 lbs! She is such a big little girl! We went to the Dr Monday and Dr. Goldsmith told me that she ranges in the 90th percentile for her height and 95 percentile for her weight! Wow..That means that she would be bigger than 90 & 95 babies out of 100! ha ha. She most definitely does not get that from me! She's going to be way taller than me, but who isn't? ha ha She is trying to smell things! I can say mmm smell this, and she will stick it to her nose and make noises with her mouth...(trying to make the sniffing sound) ha ha..She also sticks the phone to her ear and acts like she's talking. It's so funny! Also I read her probally 5-6 books a day and while I am reading to her I will skim the words as I say them. So now after I read to her she will take the book and put her middle finger on each word and babble..It is so funny! She is so smart! Another thing..one day she was playing with a ball and it rolled under the dresser. She looked up and me and then bent down and looked under it. I guess she got this from always watching me haft to dig her toys out from under things haha. It amazed me that she did this. Then she tried to stick her hand under it and get it, but it was too far back..I thought WOW! She can also say Mama, Dada, dog, bird, duck, no, no, yeah, and yahh. She is also pulling up on everything! She took her first step yesterday, but then quite. I think it scared her a little! But she has to always be sitting on her knees or pulling up! You can also say, "Where's Brookelyn-Grace"? & she will put her hands over her eyes and wait like 10 seconds and then throw them up in the air and get so tickled! ha ha Then of course she claps for herself! ha ha

A little FYI...when we were at the Dr yesterday I asked Dr. Goldsmith when she should be saying more? She then started to ask me what all she is doing and saying. So I told her and then she asked me to get Brookelyn-Grace to show her how she skims her finger through the words, how she smells stuff, get her to say her words, and how she plays pick-a-boo. So Brookelyn-Grace does everything like I had told her and even says all the words. This only took a total of about 5 minutes. Then Dr. Goldsmith turns to me and says WOW! She is way more advanced then most children her age! I said REALLY? I was in shock! I mean of course I think she is the smartest baby in the world duh! But I was not expecting that! I thought that all babies at her age did that stuff. She told me that most babies don't say as many clear words as she does until they are 1 1/2, and that she uses her hands in very manipulating ways. I thought OMG WOW!!! So I am so proud! She is such an amazing baby!
