BLESSED!

I can not believe how long it has been since I have blogged. I am going to try to start blogging more. I think its very theraputic! I have had a lot going on here latley! I never have time for anything other than family time, work, sports, etc... you name it, I've got it going on.

I am loving teaching! It is seriously the most wonderful job to have! I love coming to work, I love my kids, and I love knowing that I am making a difference in the lifes of my children! ;) It is truly an awarding job! I love teaching my kids something new that they had no clue about and just watching their little minds go to work! ;) I have taught so much this year from nouns, pronouns, verbs, subjects, predicates, figurative language, literary elements..etc... I also put together a bon fire for our homecoming and got Fox 6 involved :) Yes, we were on the news :) Love it! I am also the head basketball for 7th and 8th grade girls basketball! :) I have never been into basketball, but I am loving every second of it! :) Our first game was Tuesday night and we played Curry. We have another game tonight at home against Lupton. I cant wait to see my girls out on that court! My students think I am so funny because I get so heated out on that court, but in the classroom I am just as nice as can be lol :) They make fun of me because they think I am too girly to be a coach. Ha Ha

The family is great! Brookelyn-Grace is growing like a weed! She is already wearing a 3T and I am sure by the new year she will already be in a 4 lol! She is still just as smart as can be and acts like a little grown up! :) She is my entire life! Jeremy Owens is still my heart, of course! He is wonderful! I love that man with everything in my heart! Yes, we are engaged! He bought me a ROCK! ;) It's huge! I also had a great friend get married, Beth Gordon. I am so glad that I got to share in her beautiful moment! Love you BG! Well I think that is it...I have so much going on here lately that its hard to keep up with everything! I will try blogging more...

Missing Brookelyn-Grace

Tonight was DATE NIGHT! HA HA Yes, we have it very often, but tonight was different. Brookelyn-Grace stayed with my mom, aka MeMe, tonight for the very first time! I know weird huh?? Most people send their children off to stay with Grandparents all the time, but I just can't do it! I trust my mom 100 percent, but I am still a "psycho mom". I am just so weird about her staying away from home, away from me. :( I hope Mom does not start getting any ideas about Brookelyn-Grace staying with her a lot! Ha Ha I don't think I could handle that! So, back to DATE NIGHT....Jeremy and I went to Wal-Mart, rented 2 Red Box movies, got popcorn, candy, and then headed to the house. It was wonderful getting to just snuggle up to him on the couch and enjoy a movie in peace and quiet, but now its almost 12 A.M and here I am awake blogging. I miss Brookelyn-Grace! I called and checked in on her, and of course she had a blast tonight. She was already passed out and in bed. I can not believe that she did not cry for me or Jeremy!?!? Part of me wishes that she would have cried for us. I would have been over there too quick to pick her up and bring her home! I miss my little PRINCESS! It is just so weird to image my life without her. I can remember just going and coming anytime I wanted, and now if I am not taking care of her, or doing something for her, I feel weird!? Does anyone else feel that way, or is it just me? I just can not remember life before her! I told Mom that as soon as I woke up, which will probably be early, I was going to be at her house to pick her up! Ha Ha I am just so thankful that I have that amazing, sweet, and wonderful little girl in my life! God has truly blessed me with so much! I am so thankful for everything that he has given me!

MY NEW CAREER!

I am officially a teacher! I was offered two different positions on the same day...Talk about luck, or not? I am not good at making decisions! When it comes to deciding on something...I just can not do it! It was so ironic that it came down to that. I believe God was most definitely testing me! I ended up weighing both options, and by myself I decided on the job that would be best for me, my family, and my future! I am so happy where I am! I am teaching 7th & 8th grade Language Arts. I am also teaching a Journalism class with 11th and 12th graders. It is great! The school is GREAT! The faculty...LIKE FAMILY! My boss..WONDERFUL! I could have not asked for a better school! I AM SO HAPPY AND CONTENT!!! This is what I went to school for, for 5 years, and I am so happy I chose this profession! ;)

Balloon DRAMA!

I'ts been a while since I blogged. So much to tell! 1st, I'll tell everyone about BG's balloon drama at Jim-N-Nicks. It was so funny! Brookelyn-Grace, dad, Katy-Bug, Brooke and I all went to eat lunch together. Well after eating a very sweet hostess comes over and offers Katy-Bug and Brookelyn-Grace a balloon. I tried tying the balloon to Brookelyn-Grace's wrist, but she was having no part of that. I told her several times, over-and-over that if she did not hold onto her balloon then it would hit the ceiling and pop. Well about ten minutes later, up went the balloon and Brookelyn-Grace looked in shock as her balloon made itself up to the ceiling and popped! It was like everyone in the restaurant watched as the balloon made itself to its doom. As soon as the balloon popped Brookelyn-Grace's bottom lip puckered out and began to quiver. I felt horrible for her, but at the same time...lesson learned! I did not even feel the need to explain to her that, "Mommy told you so." Everyone in the restaurant was now staring at our table. I looked at my dad and said, "As bad as this sounds, I found so much pleasure out of that". Everyone watching laughed. Of course it was all parents, that had probably been through similar situations. Although the balloon incident was bitter sweet, the hostess ended up getting her another. After the balloon drama she was traumatized. Katy-Bug had her balloon tied to her wrist and every time she would let it go, Brookelyn-Grace would have a heart-attack! She was so worried about her and Katy-Bugs balloon getting loose. After we left the restaurant Brookelyn-Grace would still not let that balloon go. She would hold it with both hands. She would not even play at Pop's house with Katy-Bug because it meant that she would have to let someone else hold the balloon. We decided to go to Jeremy's work and wait on him to get off. During this time Brookelyn-Grace was passing out in her car seat. Whenever she would pass out she would let go of her balloon, and she would immediately wake up crying. I would have to reach into the back and give her the balloon back. When we got home she wanted to hold it in her sleep. HA HA I had to tie the balloon to the bed and repeatedly tell her that the balloon would be okay, and that it would be there in the morning. It was so funny! She was so obsessive over that balloon!

Another thing that my sweet PRINCESS has been doing is singing anything that she hears. Her favorite song at the moment is...."5 little Monkey's jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head......
It is so sweet hearing her sing that song! Also she is repeating everything and anything that she hears! She is so unbelievably smart!
One day we were driving through town and I had to slam on my breaks because of the wonderful Walker County drivers we have. Brookelyn-Grace yelled out at me, "Mommy, too fast! Be careful!" It was so funny! Also anytime we head to town she will say "Mommy, where going?" The same goes if we are doing something, like on the computer, she will say, "Daddy what doing?" She is just so funny!
She is also in a 3T! She is such a big girl! She is not chubby or chunky at all, just tall! She does not get that from me, that's for sure!

ALL GIRL!

I took Brookelyn-Grace to get her first pedicure last week. She loved it! She got them painted hot pink with flowers. Now every time we pass by Elegant Nails she says "Mommy paint toes". I have created a monster. I have created a mini-me! ;) After she got her toes done we had to buy her fake finger nail polish. She loves painting Jeremy's toes with her new polish! ;)

FINALLY HOME!

My Paw-Paw finally got to come home yesterday! He had been in the hospital for 3 weeks! When I got off work yesterday I went straight home to moms to help her get his room ready. We cleaned our butts off! He is staying at my moms so we can keep a close eye on him. He is our world! I am just on cloud 9 about him FINALLY being home! He even stopped and bought Brookelyn-Grace her first bike on his way home. She has missed her Paw-Paw and apparently he missed her too ;)
